The last time I purchased a pair of Lee jeans was sometime around 1982. Here the other day, I thought I would try them again, especially after having learned of their relaxed fit/tapered leg jean. These fit surprisingly well. I'm a fairly athletic person with large legs, and have always needed to buy relaxed fit jeans (historically I always bought Levi's). Upon hearing of a relaxed fit jean with tapered legs, in this case Lee, it seemed wise to give them a try. The fit is excellent. If anything, the tapered lower legs are maybe a little tight in the calves. That's okay. The fit at the waist and in the seat is great. The material has a little bit of stretch to it that makes them even better. I've read a few complaints about the thickness of the denim. Some say it is too thick. I'm having a hard time understanding why anyone would have a problem with the quality of the denim being too thick. Isn't that a plus. These were purchased only a few weeks ago, but I somehow suspect they will wear well and last a long time.
