Rothco’s 3-in-1 Spec Ops Soft Shell Jacket is three jackets in one thanks to its three-layer outer shell construction and removable inner fleece layer. This complete all-weather tactical jacket deflects wind, wicks away moisture, and retains heat to keep you warm and dry. The two jackets connect via attachment points at the back of the neck and cuffs, so you can wear them assembled or standalone. Featuring eight multi-functional pockets, including dual high-rise zippered slash pockets, the tactical soft shell jacket can hold all your essential everyday carry (EDC) gear while on the go. The military jacket’s front zipper closure includes two zippers; this provides you with easy access to pants pockets, inside the waistband (IWB) holsters, and items on your tactical duty belt. In case it rains or snows, the stand-up collar contains a removable stowaway drawstring hood. Each sleeve on the tactical soft shell jacket features zippered shoulder pockets, loop fields for attaching flags and morale patches, and adjustable hook and loop elastic wrist cuffs. In the event the climate is too hot, the underarm ventilation zippers will keep you cool. The interior fleece liner comes with two zippered slash pockets and two interior mesh pockets to store additional supplies. I'm 5' -10 and around 250.I went with the 2xl to ensure it fits my body, which it does, but the sleeves are a little long. It's not a big deal because the closures on the sleeves keep them from falling over the hands.When I lose a few pounds I will get another in an XL.This jacket is warm and waterproof. I've worn it in 20degs with high winds and it was ok for a few minutes. Normal cold weather, like 30s etc it keeps me nice and warm.The rain hood is stored in the neck compartment which makes the neck too thick to zip up all the way in the front with the liner in it. I took out the hood and will put it back when I take out the liner for spring.It has ok pockets but I'm not a big fan of the location of the front pockets. They are chest high and you can't really put your hands in them comfortably. However, they are big and hold a lot of stuff. Easily fits a phone and a wallet and there are inside compartments for smaller stuff.There are pockets on the sleeves as well. Small enough for ID or lighter or small pen.The inside pockets are attached to the liner and once that comes out I lose the inside pockets.There are pockets on the back as well. Not sure what they are for. The only thing I've noticed is that the zippers catch on my backpack so they are more of an annoyance than useful.It's not a perfect jacket but it is close enough for me and the few annoyances I've found I can live with.

Not a bad jacket overall, I have a medium. The main jacket itself is exactly what's shown. Only bad part is that the fleece shown in the pictures is not exactly correct. Its a lot more baggy, primarily in the sleeve area. Sleeves are pretty long extending well past my hands and very wide. Odd considering the pictures show the cuffs are tightened by design same with the bottom back part. Also a side note, the two pockets on the inside of the fleece have a hole on the bottom corners. It looks like they were intentionally not stitched which is why I cant tell if this is by design or the people making it just screwed up the fleece entirely.

Received my Rothco 3-in1 Jacket and wanted to put it through the paces. 1st make sure you check the size you order by the manufacturer sizing chart. I got my jacket for the bite of east coast winter weather. So far, the R 3 in-1 is holding up marvelously. Super fit, comfortable, warm, and looks great. All the pockets are accessible and the zippers are quality and function without fail. The jacket has enough room for.whatever task one can imagine. A super mission jacket.

This jacket is awesome. I would recommend to anyone if they are wanting like a 511 jacket but don???t want to pay the price!
