Originally made for the US military, the M-1965 field jacket’s design comprises of a water repellent cotton/poly outer shell for protection from wind, rain and other outdoor elements, and a removable poly quilted liner for added warmth. The military coat features a concealable drawstring hood that can be easily stored inside the collar through the brass zipper closure. The collar includes hook and loop fields as well, so you can fully close the collar to keep your neck warm. Store any essentials in the four single snap button pleated bellow cargo pockets; two are located on the chest, while the other two are located on the waist. To keep outdoor elements out and allow you to stay warm, the Army fatigue jacket comes with a sturdy heavy brass zipper closure with a six-button storm flap cover. The military-style jacket includes hook and loop wrist cuffs and internal hook tabs, which allows you to properly cinch the jacket’s sleeves with a pair of gloves by attaching the hook tabs onto the gloves, then closing the sleeves with the hook and loop cuffs. Bought this jacket early December/24 wore it a couple of times, paired with the lining offers good warmth, sizing is a bit on the larger side, Feels quite heavy when wearing it. Zipper quality is okay and feels heavy duty when used. The only problem that I have faced so far is that the buttons aren’t properly sewn into the jacket and the overall finishing feels like an afterthought.

Ok, so I am 6'1" - 210lbs with rather broad shoulders and ordered Medium. It fits me like a parka with a t shirt only but it looks good with a sweater. I threw it in the washing machine in hot water and after that twice in the drier at high heat to brake it in. ..... Beautiful! It shrank a bit but not much. A size S would have been a lot slicker but wouldn't allow me to wear anything under. Sleeves are the usual reded width as the military issued M65s...I hate them but if rolled up a bit it's not that bad.

I really like this thing. Plan on sitting down for 2 or 3 hours to cut and burn all the Irish pennants away..but that's all part of the fun ain't it? May want to order a size larger if you live in very cold climate or plan to use liner for it. Xl fits me just fine, a bit baggy as it should be, I'm 6ft 250 .

The jacket is comfortable, but I have my serious doubts as to how well it will hold up to regular use. The second time I ever wore the jacket, the button holding the pocket closed ripped out of the fabric. These jackets, by design, have had decades of improvements done to them, and should be nearly indestructible, yet this is already happening.
