Oh I wish I would have had this before Covid!!! I used to take up to 16 trips a year. Most of those were 1 to 3 night stays. This would have been the perfect bag for those trips!!! It would easily hold all of my camera gear, umbrella, tripod, laptop and a couple sets of light clothing. I hope to do those trips again soon. But for now it's been great for picking up a few days worth of groceries at a store a few blocks away. It's not something I will use for everyday trips around a city. I honestly thought I was replacing a bag I've used for 6 or 7 years. That was perfect, but a bit too small. I put it through hell. This one should hold up the same way. It is sturdy. Perfect pockets on the outside for water bottles, umbrellas or a small tripod. Tons of room inside. Plenty of pockets on the outside. I love this bag for traveling, just not for the everyday use I wanted it for. So I gave it a 4 instead of a 5! It's a GREAT BAG FOR TRAVEL!!!!!

The bag is well sewn and seems sturdy. The buckles on the compression straps are metal and kind of sharp. It's quite a bit larger than the rothco compact backpack I have, which is not a bad thing. Will upload pics soon.
