I needed a ball for water volleyball at a senior community. This one is too hard and would tear up quickly in the chemical pool.

We bought this as a replacement wallyball. It's the same size as the original wallyball (1979). It is being tested right now in a few different groups of players. We usually go through a few balls a year. In 25 hours of hard advanced play it has held up reasonably well. It bounces well off the walls and is holding air. Purchased as a replacement option for the now discontinued Takikara Wallyball. It is not the same material, though it never claimed to be. It is described as a rubber volleyball, which is exactly what it is. It has held up through one night of wallyball, but has obvious stuff marks. It is a sufficient enough replacement, so long as it holds up for a couple seasons. Fingers crossed. Will update when the ball is no longer playable.

Love the volleyball. It doesn't come inflated so you'll have to pump it, but it' very sturdy. Keep in mind that it doesn't have padding though.
