Overall I'm very happy with this ball. I've been playing for 20 years and have found you can rarely go wrong with al leather Tachikara. The only reason I gave this a 4 star rating was because it came with a slight blemish on the ball. I haven't noticed it affecting ball flight yet.

I play in a indoor league, I showed up this past week and right off the back everyone thought that this ball felt incredible. After six games in a row I had multiple people come tell me how much better the ball was than any other ball they had ever used. This ball was everything you could want in a volleyball. There were no complaints from any of the 6 teams there. Everyone loved it!

I've owned the Tachikara SV5WSC (non-gold)Tachikara SV5WSC Sensi-Tec Composite High Performance Volleyball and this ball is very much worth the extra $15-20. The sensi-tec is soft and foamy. While it doesnt hurt to play with (girls seem to like it), it tends to float and not spin as much. Not this gold ball! I played 4 games with this ball 1 hour after it showed up on my doorstep and let me just say that this is the best ball I've ever played with. The Molten Pro Touch is a bit too hard for our co-ed league but this ball just feels great. It doesn't feel hard like a rock but seems to be very durable. Volleyballs aren't cheap but the difference in quality is significant between the $50 top-of-the-line models and the cheaper $40 balls.

A few hours after filling it up it was completely flat. Unfortunately, I missed the return window, which was only 1 month. I must be a slow learner, since I received this same model of ball last year for Christmas, and the same thing happened. I had figured Tachikara is reputable company and my first flat ball had to be a fluke. Nope. I got the exact same ball with the exact same results. I wetted the surface of both balls, and both of them had air leaking out of nearly every seam. Don't waste your time and your money. You will have a high probability of getting a flat ball right out of the box.

When the ball arrived it was already inflated which was surprising I was expecting it to be deflated the ball was rock hard I let about a pound of air out and it helped but after the first night of playing with it nonstop(about 4 hours) it is almost perfect. the ball is great the passing setting and serving of this ball is way better then any ball that we have been using in the past. when and if I ever need a new one it will be this one..

Been playing volleyball for over 30 years. Have tried and owned them all. The best Mikasa and Baden and others. None compare to the touch and control you get with this model of Tachikara. Best for passing as well as hitting. If you have good technique there is no better ball for precise placement. Highest recommendation!

A very nice soft ball to play. The weight is right for most players, including girls. However, after a year, it gets slippery and leaking.

As an avid indoor/outdoor volleyball player, I have been through many leather balls. This ball is taught but also has good feel and touch making passing more accurate. The ball does not make your arms red during an intense pepper session or when digging a frontal blast. This is a game ball; it would be a bit pricey to order these as warm-up balls. Tachikara's top of the line ball is great. Recommended.

This is the only indoor volleyball to buy for a quality volleyball no matter what color scheme you select. The Tachikara SV-5W is the standard that all others are measured by. if you play serious volleyball you want this one.
