I give 4 stars because i have access to a car lift as a certified master mechanic that does these things often. Without the install kit, its impossible to install. The key to install is the rat tails for the bolts that come with the kit. You screw the bolts in with the rectangular blocks to the rat tails. fish it through the frame and pull it through. ABSOLUTE GENIUS. Without these gems you might as well not try. It goes quick once you understand. This bracket is for a Ford F 150 with a closed frame. No holes other than a few used to mount and for access. Things they fail to mention, install rails loose enough to move them a bit. One thing is when you are installing the nuts and the block plates, it difficult to juggle these things. Set something heavy on the bolts penetrating the bed through the rails on top. Second tip, is USE SUPERGLUE TO HOLD SQUARE PLATES UP WHILE YOU INSTALL LOCKWASHERS AND NUTS UNDERNEATH. I even glued lock washers in place. It helps alot. Gravity isnt your friend on this install. Would i buy this again and install? ABSOLUTELY. This was well worth the $$$$ involved. Why 4 stars not 5? The bracket design could have made nuts more accessible. They could have used cap nuts with lock washers built on. Maybe washer nylock nuts. However overall with superglue, and a couple strong magnets, on a lift it took a couple hours. NOTE: an articulating ratchet wrench will make your life immensely easier on this install.
