Hard as a rock, then it again it has to be to support an adult human. This is a great length for anyone 5'8" and shorter, you can place your head to tailbones without overhang. Great for stretches, physical therapy, and fitness exercises. Light weight and easily storable. Works well on carpet, hold on yoga mats.

I love scooting on this tube, shortly after arising in the morning, to ease out all the aches and pains of a night sleeping on my back. it's great fun using your skill to maneuver on and off of it and that's good exercise too. I first used it in a PT setting and had instruction on how to use it for the most advantage to my body. It's the one exercise tool I would not want to be without!Legs, arms, back,and nec--, you name it, you flex it!

I have have had and used this roller for a while and have loved the relief it gives instantly. Tonight I had back pain in another area of my back on top of the lower back pain I suffer with normally. Since I needed to roll my lower back, I also rolled all of my back to see if it would help it also. That was 5 minutes ago and I feel wonderful with NO BACK PAIN AT ALL.
