Super comfy. I found out about this chair 6 years ago from a friend. I needed one, recently bought 2. My friends chair is still like new.

Eureka Director’s Chair. Bought from Backcountry recently when it was on sale. The sale and delivery were smooth and there were no problems. The chair looks nice, is sturdy and well built. I’d be surprised if it suffers material tears from ordinary use. The side attached table and cup holder are sturdy and stable, although the cup holder seems a bit shallow. The main reason I am knocking 2 points off the rating is comfort. How tall you are may affect how comfortable the chair feels. I am about 5” 7” tall and weigh about 160. The upright bars that support the cloth back are not perpendicular to the side arm bars, they actually lean a bit forward. This means the seated person’s upper back and shoulder blades are forced into a somewhat forward upright position which is not natural. It is not terribly uncomfortable, but it will not feel comfortable if you are sitting in this chair for an extended period of time. Other chairs are more comfortable. I will keep the chair. I was thinking of buying two and am glad I settled for one to see how comfortable it was first. I will not buy another one. I'd recommend trying the chair out for comfort in a store before buying.

This chair is very comfortable and ergonomically designed well. Durability is not good though. I'm 6' 190 and the seams on the seat sleeve started failing one season into use. The second seam just failed. The chair is only 2 years old and for $90 I'd expect a lot more - like bar tacks or double stitch reinforcement on the stress areas. Camp chairs in general aren't super durable but I expect more for the money. I'm looking elsewhere for the next one.Edit 2/29/24 - I contacted Eureka directly about this issue. Within 30 minute customer service reached out and offered to replace the chair at no cost to me. Pay attention because that's how you win customers for life!

Wow I love the look and quality of these chairs. Found them on sale and got a great deal. Theyre extremely comfortable with the raised back. It really makes a world of difference. As far as storage goes they do take up a little more room then a regular chair. Not much though. Im general theyre similar. Theyre heavy duty for sure and seem to have quality handles and latches. They fold right up and stow away easily and they dont make a bunch of creeks and noises every time you sit in them like a typical camp chair. Overall I love the design look style and quality. Theyre a little on the heavy side and would be cool if they came in more colors!

I purchased this chair because I was tired of my old folding chairs breaking after a few uses. This chair has been stored in a hot and humid garage for almost 3 years now and still holds up when I need it to. The chair is very easy to fold out and the bag is long enough that you dont need to break down the high back every time to store it. The storage bag is durable as well and has held up to frequent use and storing in a hot car for months on end. The cup holder is OK but not great for anything other than a normal soda can.

Loved the high back, but the parts are cheap plastic that failed within a year. Way over priced.

Great comfort. Stiffer than the Walmart folding chair. And reclines two levels.

Just received our new high back chairs from eureka just before our next camping trip, Wow, are they ever comfortable! The high back is what my wife asked for and with the feature that you can recline it, well that box is checked! She did say the the chair was a little heavy but much lighter than our antigravity chairs and will be much easier to carry from campsite to campsite. They are easy to set up and the storage bags are the best I have ever seen. Leather or leather like material re-enforces the bottom of the bag, set up instructions are sewn in to to top of the bag and the bag actually has plenty of room for the chair. I'm excited about the detail work on the bag because that is what is carried over to the chair which is plenty comfortable, well engineered and made, reclines, and did I mention comfortable. Best chairs we have ever purchased and that is even before we have taken them out camping.

There is no support for the neck. When you fully relax your shoulders, your neck does not even touch the back of chair. Some type of support pillow for the head or neck should come work the chair. If it did it would be very comfortable.

Good high back and comfortable to sit in.It's a bit heavy, so you aren't packing it anywhere, and it's not small by any means. But it sturdy and comfortable.
