The pole in this set is too light. The pole and sleeve have too much 'play' in it. Whether or not the installation was done according to directions, the pole slants. The players(age 4-12) are ok with it, but the grown ups are not.

I used one of these at a part last weekend. I havn't played teather ball since I was a kid but I found that my reflexes are still pretty good. I am thinking of buying this brand because it was working really well. I am just waiting until i have a little more money saved and then i am going to go for it.

I purchased the Champion Tetherball set for my three boys (7 yrs old and twins 4 yrs old). They love it. It was simple to set up and is much sturdier than I expected. Certainly worth the price. I cemented the sleeve into the ground to stabilize it. I can easily lift out the pole from the sleeve and stowe it in the garage to protect it from the weather when not in use. I have a small backyard and want to be able to provide them with as much backyard outdoor entertainment as possible. This was definitely a great addition to my backyard. I'm not certain how well it would last over time if teenagers were using it...but for younger kids...it is perfect!
