Yes they are BPA free, says it right on the label. And no there is no plastic taste to the water, not that I am aware of. Nalgene bottles where first used, and still are to this day, in labs to store samples and other chemicals. So they do not leach anything into water. They are light weight and durable, and the wide mouth versions are easy to clean. Oh, I carry a GSI large stainless steel cup to boil water in.

This is the travel version of the large Nalgene that I carry every day, this size is good for keeping liquids available and also lightening the load by half.

These bottles are great for traveling with liquids. My daughter no longer drinks out of baby bottles or sippy cups and uses an open cup at the babysitter. I needed a bottle that was easy to clean and simple enough to travel, pour, clean, and store. No more narrow brushes to clean rubber mouth pieces or nasty junk hiding behind rubber rings on the lids. Our family owns Nalgene bottles of all sizes, this is a durable and high quality bottle that will last a long time!

Bought this to replace the same one I've had for many years. It's more heavy duty then a lot of other options now available in the outdoor stores. Exactly what I need. Perfect size to fill with shampoo or liquid soap for long trips.

Small size (fits in hand, like a tall, narrow-ish tumbler) and sturdy with a wide mouth which makes it easy to use the included smalll scoops in creatine and pre-workout powders like C4.
