Shoddy and cheaply made. Bought it less than a month ago and it’s already falling apart with holes and stitching issues. I definitely expect better from a brand like Hanes, but I’ve had off brand stuff that is cheaper and so much better made.

I always think of quality when I I buy Hanes. From underwear to outer garments. This particular one, is substantial and thick, helping combat the cold weather without the need for several extra layers. I really like the zip up front, keeping in mind that since it is front zipped hoodie, you have two small pockets versus the one large pouch in a pullover. I have foresee me enjoying this hoodie for years to come. It is not a summer hoodie, so if you want something lighter in weight

The material is good! The sewing and stitches are good! It's a strong and long lasting zipper. But I believe the zipper may be slightly misaligned because it takes some work to finally get it to zip up. And it's hard to align the two rows to get the zipper started. Unfortunately I got this for my father-in-law that has dementia. It's hard for him, but he keeps at it. He is a sweet soul. So in this case, I guess you get what you pay for. The price was lower than I expected, but the brand usually has well made items, just sometimes not top of the line material and that's ok. Dad needed a lightweight jacket for indoors. So unless you are great at alignment, I don't recommend this hoodie.

Inferior cotton (not USA grown) means TONS of fuzz and lint when washing. I’d recommend washing it all by itself the first couple of washes and clean the lint out of the dryer afterwards because it left enough lint in those first two washes the size of a small kitten! Or go for the lighter weight Hanes Eco-Smart hoodie, which is USA grown cotton and doesn’t leave a mound of lint and fuzz all over the hoodie when washing it.

There is nothing “tall” about this hoodie. It’s big. But it does not fit as a tall size.
