The thigh pads are reinforced with a plastic core, and the contoured knee pads add an extra layer of safety. These paints have stood up to at least 3 practices a week. Pads may seem slightly smaller than some others I've seen but not enough to not use the pants. Washable. Durable. Maintaing color well, not washed out. Stretchiness is plus.

It was a good fit. My son is average height and skinny. My son is regular size pants size 7 and for this pants size XS you can simply tighten the belt all good. If you want a better tighter fit for kids size 7 regular pants get a XXS. The material is great and the pads are thick enough not thin. I would have gave it a 5 if it had the pouch to put the cup to protect his privates. Otherwise the pants are great.

I purchased these for a short 4 year old obsessed with football. They work! They are big of course, and look like loose pants. They fit our tall 6 year old perfectly. We got the 6 year old a size small and they fit well with some growing room.<br />These are great quality and the pads work really well. They love them!
