Rolling is a great way to get out those little cracks in the back. I've also used it on my IT band (I'm a runner) and its helped tremedously. After a few years of owning and using it it still is as good as new. Firm but not like solid steel.

Much stiffer than the one I use in rehab. Perhaps with time it will soften slightly. Since it is so much stiffer it is harder to roll on than what I am used to using during physical therapy.

Because this foam roller outperforms any other roller I've ever seen or used. Very well made, firm but not too hard. Certain to last a long time. Have bought two now, gifted one to a yoga enthusiast friend.

I absolutely love this foam roller. My myofascial release massage therapist recommended it. So far I only do one stretch on it every day, but it is wonderful. Am getting ready to order the book, Pro-Roller Massage Essentials!I highly recommend it.

Good quality product, but if you just want to roll out muscles, I would suggest the medium size. This thing is a big overkill perhaps, but my kids like to play with it!
