Worked for a couple of days for sleep. Was excited but then it became difficult to get headband to sense brainwaves. Rear right and left sensors either never sync'd or drop in and out. App froze several times waking me up during the night. Spent more time looking at a cell screen (bad for sleep) troubleshooting in the middle of the night than sleeping. Extremely frustrating. I suffer from PTSD and sleep is difficult because ruminating on bad thoughts. Had high hopes for this technology. I tried everything in the FAQ to correct the problems: moistening forehead for better connection, update software, update app, and a hard reset. No improvement. Last night was the final straw being awakened 6 or more times because of app/headset freezing/disconnecting/etc. I truly wish it did work.

I could recieve data from muse 2 to my windows pc and display in graph using python. Also tried in rasp4. Everything works! Quality is good! App has nice UI and fast bluetooth connection.

I use this in conjunction with a professional neurofeedback therapist in the device seems to work well for that. But I just can't get over why they miss the step of simply adding speakers to this device? It would be so easy and much more engaging than having the sound come out of my phone.

I was iffy, especially after seeing some of the negative reviews here. So I went online and started looking up reviews on Reddit and YouTube to figure out what this thing was really capable of and whether or not it would prove useful for me. After the first day of unboxing it, and calibrating it, and going through a few sessions, I can say it absolutely does work. Getting the signal just right is a little finicky, but once you figure out where it needs to be, it's not so bad to get it to stay there. It needs to be tight against your ears and head, so I learned. Not painfully tight, but tight enough so that the signal stays strong. I wear glasses, so having it on really isn't that much of a distraction at all. The feedback I get from the app is also really handy and I can tell this is going to stay with me for a long time. I'm going to add, as an occult practitioner I was worried about how this might affect my meditations throughout the day, but there's a biofeedback session that tracks without giving you sounds that proved to be very useful while accompanying my normal daily routines. I'm not sure I would go out and tell all of my friends they HAVE to buy this, but for a geek like me this thing is awesome and I would tell my past self that I should have bought this last year when I first saw it but couldn't decide if it was going to help me or not.
