The basket is very lightweight and opens and closes in just a few seconds. You do get some spit outs compared to the heavy duty baskets at the courses but it will make you a better putter if you keep using it. I have left mine out for the pat 3 month on my back deck and have not seen any signs of damage from the elements.

I have two so I can throw to one and when I walk over to it, throw back to the other. Folds up nice and small and is fairly light weight. I've had this basket for years and it's perfect. Don't get the heavier and more awkward metal ones.

Awesome for the back yard...

The plastic around the flag holder of my Discatcher has cracked and the metal pieces are showing some rust. It doesn't seem like it was meant to withstand weather, but it does a good job catching discs and would probably stay in good condition if always folded in a safe place when not in use.

I picked up one of these from Play-it-again Sports for $150. It's biggest pro is it's portability and ease of set up. Currently I have it set up right my back door as I brought it in and out each day this winter for putting practice. I've also left it in the trunk of my car most of last year and would often take it with me to the field for practice. Sometimes I just used it as a target to throw at, but often I liked marking 30/60ft out and did approach and putting practice on it.The drawback is that it doesn't feel like a real basket you would see on the course. I feel like the chains aren't as heavy and that it would catch more discs than usual (instead of pushing them out). Also I question some of my throws that hit the top or the cage and still make it in. I can get a lot of spit throughs and sometimes the disc will actually come down through the top, but those don't bother me much, I count my spit throughs as makes and disregard when the disc comes through the top.I'm not sure if I would pay $150, but I'm also not sure if any of the other portable baskets would be better value. The thought of paying more for a basket closer to what I find on the course makes me cringe thinking about set up and tear down. Not looking to get anything else anytime soon and happy sticking with this basket for practice.

Honestly the doppest gift I gave to me and my boyfriend! It's awesome to take to the park or even front yard for a practice.
