FINIS 1.30.070 Smart Goggle Kit - Blue

I am a 60 woman who is not a competitive swimmer. I've been swimming morning laps for over a year, but I felt like my workout was becoming ho-hum. I ordered these goggles to help me count laps, but am happily surprised that they have transformed my workout.Pros: they are very easy to use. The goggles themselves are comfortable and, with the exception of some peripheral vision loss, are easy to see through. The customer support is very responsive. The data provided in the goggles is easy to read and is very helpful. In the 'I Swim Laps' mode, it keeps a running tally of my laps throughout the workout, as well as counts laps in sets. It shows splits and overall time as well. The app has nearly comprehensive detail about the workout, and includes different strokes, even when I use a kickboard. I love seeing the average split times for my sets.Cons: the app doesn't show total laps per workout. I can add up all the laps listed in each set, but it would be great if it showed the total laps for each workout.The app doesn't allow you to enter a specific number of feet in describing pool length. You can only enter round numbers of yards or meters. My community pool is 70 feet long, which is 23.3 yards. I could only enter 23 yards so I am not getting a truly accurate report of my swim.Sometimes the chip randomly resets, if I am swimming slowly. The lap will be counted, but it will start with a new set. There is only a 4 second rest time before it starts a new set. I would prefer the rest time would be longer.I am very happy I made this purchase and recommend this product.

I have been swimming for 40 years. Currently I swim about 3000 meters a day in a 25 meter pool (about 1 hour workout). I do my workouts alone, so no one else to use for pacing or to help count laps. I have owned the goggles for 2 years. (1) the goggles has a fit very similar to Speedo vanquished 2, with a good snug fit in the eye socket. The rubber/silicone seal is flexible and never leaks. My first pair of goggles was the “smoke” tint. After 9 months I chose to switch to the blue. Personally, I prefer the blue - I swim outside year round (I live in Phoenix). (2) the lenses come with a non-fog coating that over several months will wear off. But they continue to do well over time, with little fogging. The strap is a double strap, easy to adjust, again similar to Speedo goggles. (3) my biggest concern when I bought them was that I would not be able to read the display, due to my age and my need for reading glasses. However, the display is crystal clear. The display is behind a magnified glass cover, where you can easily read the display. (4) the goggles has different settings. I have mine set to (a) count my laps I swim between each stop, (b) splits of each lap, that switches back after each lap to a running clock. After a 20 second rest, the goggles give me a workout update. (C) It also automatically displays how long I rest between each swim. (D) after each flip turn the goggle displays my split (for about 5 seconds) before switching back to a running clock and lap counter. When I am done with my workout, the goggles pairs with my smart phone, transferring info in detail. I can also pull up the info via my app on my iPad (no additional download needed). Lastly, customer support is excellent. I had problems charging it up, and after an exchange with Yuri in their support group, and trying several things to fix the problem, after owning and using the goggles for 1.5 year, finis offered to sell me a complete kit for 50 discount. I love these goggles. I even used them for some open water swims where I changed the display to a running clock. These goggles keep you on pace, and eliminate having to quickly lift / turn your head to check your ti e on the pace clock. Plus you never lose count of your laps. Great goggles, great tracker, great app, and great customer service.

Delivery was anticipated one week and product was the same as anunciated. Great quality on offered service.

I have now logged 10 miles on these. They are mostly good. They take a while to get the fit just right. But they can be fit comfortably so that they don't let water enter. I can swim a full mile without them irritating me too much. They time laps pretty accurately. It integrates with my Android very well and syncs up after each swim pretty effortlessly. I can get a few miles in on a single charge. But I try to charge after every swim. The biggest downside is false records. If you take the goggles off and shake the water off them, that may register as swimming a lap. It's only for this reason that I can't give 5 stars.Overall, these are a great product. They record your laps, including a 3D recording of your head movement for analysis. Your records can be automatically linked to Strava for easy social media sharing. You can view all of the relevant metrics of your laps.I would say it's worth the money. I would recommend.
