I sanded both sides of about 25 square feet of Redwood glue-ups with a single 80 grit 3M Xtract Net Disc 710W disc. The panels are ready for finish and the disc is still good. If you've never used one of these newer 3M discs, please do. You will be amazed at how long they last. I will never go back to any other disc.

As a carpenter I was excited to get these and was a complete let down. Thinking the 3M brand was going to be an upgrade to my regular diablo net sanding disc and was not. Need to us 3 or more to do the same work!

What can I say that hasn't been said already? They cost more but they last longer than inexpensive (cheap) ones. With these I don't mind sanding because they don't take as long to achieve a great finish. I don't know if it has been said but these don't do well on sharp corners or thin edges for some reason it causes the sanding material to come off the mesh. To combat this issue I use the other brands on corners and edges and use 3M on flat surfaces only. Doing this extended the life of each disc. BUY IT_YOU WILL NEVER GO BACK.... Ohhh I forgot to mention that you are going to be shocked at little dust there will be on your project.
