My 10 year old (5ft1in and 135 lbs) son plays catcher and many times he is catcher for the entire game / games, and having this has really helped him. He finds it easy enough to get them quickly on and off on his own. We weren't sure if we should get him the youth or adult because of his size, but glad we went with the youth because the youth work perfect for him!

So these do the job of knee savers but it is not what is pictured. The way that they attach to the shin guards is not the same that is pictured. It is not a buckle it is a strap which seems to be less durable then others I have seen. It also makes it harder to get the kids geared up quickly.

These Knee-Savers are pretty nice. We have not had them in use long enough to talk about durability yet. My only complaint is that the spacing of the stitching on the nylon straps is too small to easily get the shin guard buckles through, but not small enough to reliably keep the buckles from slipping back out when taking the guards off! So, I need to make sure the pads are properly attached before each inning, and it takes me a while to get them on. Though, they may wear in and become easier to put on. I also would like if the padding was a little bigger. My kid says they are fine, though, and they are actually using the pads, so...
