Imitation defiantly tastes different from pure extract - it's bitter and chemically. The imitation loses it's flavor quickly even when kept properly in the fridge.

I order this product over and over for my cookie business! It may say imitation, but it has all the flavor. Real vanilla is so expensive now, but you won't feel like you are missing out by using this. There's a lot in the container, and a little goes a long way in recipes. Grab this and you won't regret it!
