This just wouldn't work for calibration with Sonarworks regardless of which of three pro-level preamps I used. I suspect this is actually an issue more related to how the calibration file is interpreted, but nonetheless, swapping in Sonarworks's own microphone had things immediately working with the exact same setup that failed with the Dayton. There's no reason the EMM-6 shouldn't work, but for some reason, it just didn't.

Considering the price of these microphones, they do a fantastic job. Also downloading a calibration file for them is very easy. I initially bought them as a demo but they are cheaper than the dbx RTA mics and they do a much better job

Modeled the speakers in WinISD, then downloaded the mic cal file from Dayton and then used it in REW (free room EQ wizzard). Worked great; combined with Sigma Studio was able to dial in sub, 2-way fronts, and 2-way rears all in one evening.

Ordered my first one only to find out the calibration procedure they used is bogus.Unfortunately the second one showed the exact same calibration problem.Never again Dayton Audio.

Comes with individual mic sonic profile, in txt form, so you can load that into your analysis software in seconds as the starting point for calibrating your room. Excellent build quality, comes with a hardshell case and tripod stand.

I needed a calibrated measurement microphone to use with Sonarwork's ReferenceID room correction software. I have two. 8 studio monitors about a foot from the wall, and the bass responsive is a bit heavy given the small room they're in. Works like a charm. The price can't be beat. Comes with a nice padded carry case.

I use this mic with RME FF400 to make measurements with Audiolense. It comes with a calibration file that is a real advantage for such a price range. The sensitivity is good and works well with phantom power as intended. Got good measurements that translated to great sounding filters. for 70$ you will be hard pressed to find a measurement mic with a calibration file. This is a great VFM.

Using room EQ this tool is very easy to setup and use, you will need a SPL meter to calibrate it, and then a jumper wire to connect your audio interface line out and line in to calibrate the sound card, from there you will need 3 or so measurements with this mic and you will get a proper file to load into you audio interface software.

Nice accurate mic for the price. Once you receive it, you enter the serial number on the Dayton web site and can download the calibration file.
