After reading the reviews here, I bought this when the Klipsch sub woofer crapped out. Everything worked fine and it sounds good. Only negative, and this doesn't apply to this speaker, was that the grille on the Klipsch sub had to be pried out. No biggie. Also, I have a pair of 40 year old JBL speakers that use 6.5 woofers and when those give out, I'll replace them with these.

Thus was an option for a replacement driver for my klipsch ProMedia 2.1 system I have. It had good reviews on here so I bought it. Once I had it in my hands I put it in the enclosure and was instantly greeted with the voice coil bottoming out, it seems that this driver is way more efficient then the original as it can not go past about 1/3 on the sub volume knob. It's not the biggest problem for me specifically but I can see it being an issue for someone wanting to do the same replacement I've done. It's still worth the money as it sounds amazing and clean one the volume is adjusted correctly. Also the surrounding material was black but I messed it up so I peeled that layer off all of them to make it match, so no worries it came all black like in the product photos.

I would say it is about 60 of the sound quality of the original driver but at least I didn't have to get rid of my otherwise very nice speakers. I would not buy this again for the same purpose.

I bought this cuz I needed a replacement sub for my aging 2.1 system. This was basically a direct swap, just made the grille on the sub stand a little more proud from the surface of the sub unit due to the plastic lip.I assume these would be good in a car av setting as well.

Just hooked everything up and they sound as good as the original infinity speakers. Maybe not as much punch but great for a bass box. Saved me at least $200 over buying new infinity speakers.

I found myself in a bit of a predicament when it came to replacing the 6.5 speaker in my NHT bookshelf SB2. The prospect of spending $100-$150 on a replacement was not exactly enticing, so I started looking for alternatives. That's when I stumbled upon this speaker, which, I must say, has turned out to be a pleasant surprise. At first, I had somewhat unrealistic expectations, hoping for a perfect 1:1 replacement for the original NHT speaker, complete with the same level of volume. However, I soon realized that was an unfair expectation, and I'll take the blame for that. This speaker boasts a sturdy and durable reinforced paper cone with a rubber surround, and it seems to align well with the provided specs. What pleasantly surprised me was the condition it arrived in brand new, sealed in a box, and neatly wrapped in a plastic bag.Where this speaker truly shines is in its exceptional value for the price. It might not match the $100 range I unknowingly thought I needed, but it still offers a fantastic bang for the buck. If, by some chance, this speaker were to fail me in the future, my plan is to explore options like a 6.5 NHT or a Peerless replacement with a similar design (although I couldn't locate the Peerless 1-11-089-1).In the grand scheme of things, this alternative beats the hefty price tag of $400/$600 for a pair of new CS3s from NHT, making it an attractive choice for those who appreciate a cost-effective solution without sacrificing too much quality.

I did not get to install these speakers on my daughter's car because they are just a bit big dept wise. I could have bought adapters and had to maybe modify and cut the plastic door panel to make room for the speaker. These speakers are built for like a shelf sound system! But I honestly think they are very well made. Cone is strong, frame is steel cage, and the magnet is firm. I do believe they produce nice clean sound.
