This is a great sounding speaker that’s heavier and cleaner than the stock speaker in the fender excelsior. It fits but there are some sizing issues. You’ll have to totally remove the top and bottom chassis to install the speaker. Because of the amp design it’s hard to reach some of the screws, but it’s a simple enough diy job. Highly recommended along with a tube swap and the tone control mod.
