Fantastic Speaker and the price is awesome. Switched out speaker in my Carvin Nomad and it took a lot of the Muddy sound out of it. A great speaker all around.

I have a Legend 1275 and a Legend GB128 installed in a 2x12 cabinet that I made myself. I habe the cabinet wired so that I can run each speaker independently, or both speakers in series. I find that these speakers compliment eachother nicely, so I usually run them together unless I am after a specific tone.

It completely warmed up my peavey classic 50. No more ice pick high end frequency. I do however need to get the tubes checked out as they are a little old. Sometimes the amp makes some static noises.......these are wayyyy better than the blue marvel speakers if you want to use some overdrive

I replaced the speaker in my Laney VC-30 112 with the GB128. I amazed at how much better the amp sounds, smooth and well balanced with definition that is pleasing to the ear. I've had other speakers in this amp, HH Invader which came with the amp and it sounded ok, but kind of lifeless. I put used Celestion G12L-35 it helped with the harshness, but lacked responsive tight bass kind flabby on the bottom end. The amp now simply sounds three dimensional and I can hear all the picking nuances and dynamics without the harshness, yeah way happy.

I just finished a new guitar amplifier build but before I risk damaging my custom 60's era Greenback reproductions I bought this speaker for the debug and modification phase. I can't get over how good this speaker sounds as a single in an enclosed cabinet being driven by a single octal power tube at less than 20 watts. I'm into 60's/70's era hard rock with warmer, smoother full tube distortion and I may not even put my expensive custom speaker(s) in this cabinet. It sounds that good. Update: I have been experimenting with the Eminence line which I like very much. This is one of the brighter speakers in the line. The Red White and Blues version is the softest which is great for 60's era blues/rock. Swamp Thing and Texas Heat and Cannibis Rex are more in the midlle tone wise and Legend GB128 is probably the best balanced.

Good quality speaker, definitely voiced more in a 34;british34; style tone. The speaker definitely needs to be broken in though to get the best sound. Some people play hours a day at a loud volume, if you are one of those, slap it in and in a few days it will sweeten up. But if you are like me and don't turn it up often and not blisteringly loud, then you will want to break it in to be happy. I used a frequency generator set at about 28 Hz and a 7 watt amp turned about a third up, put a pillow in front of the cab, then stool legs to hold the pillow there, closed the door and went away for the day. When I returned, the speaker was definitely different, more open sounding, seemed to be able to reproduce a wider frequency spectrum. I was not happy with the sound when I received it, but was once I had done this. Personally, I lean toward having a speaker reproduce what the amplifier sounds like, in another words, to be transparent. Not to color the sound. This is not exactly what I like in that respect, so I took off a star, but everybody has different tastes, and it is a good speaker.
