I’m a 82 year old and was able to install with about 6 hours time. Unit works well. I have reliable AC power in the area, so a battery to run it not necessary. It’s been bulletproof for several weeks.

I was initially hesitant about which gate opener to buy, especially after dealing with some subpar ones in the past that didn’t last. But after using this heavy-duty model, I couldn’t be happier with my decision! This gate opener is strong, durable, and works flawlessly. Unlike previous ones that broke too easily, this one feels built to last. It operates smoothly every time, and the value for money is absolutely there. I can confidently say this was money well spent! Another huge plus is the customer supportthey’ve been fantastic. I had a closing problem with the gate. The closing was hard and would keep trying to close for about a minute, then it would open and cycle again until I removed power. With the help of Hedi from Topens we focused on the magnetic switch. The replacement switch came fast and I changed it out, but the problem remained. Hedi ask me to take it apart to look at the magnetic ring. When I did we could see that it was broken in half. I was supprised that Topens sent me a new arm instead of just a magnetic ring. The product is very good my supposition now is that my grandkids were climbing on the gate. I have now installed a block of wood under the top rail to give more support when closed. Thank you Topens.

So far so good. One thing to keep in mind is to read the important notice in the material that the open position needs to be completely retracted when you pick the mounting location for the gate bracket. There is no open limit adjustability - only a close limit. Update email support is great!

Had this about 6 months. Bought 2 Installed one.board went bad. Used board from the second one and gate works fine. I was skeptical about getting any help due to the fact Topens doesn’t answer calls, all you can do is send an email. But I received a response very quickly and after my proof of purchase on both gate openers was accepted they replaced the board free of charge because it was within the 12 month warranty period. Super happy about their quick response and I have a good new board. Haven’t install it just yet.
