Be careful, this switch is "Normally Closed", but the Contact Type in the text reads "Normally Open". Most of the listing says N.C., but I didn't notice that and fried some wires in a nice smoke show. I should have tested before adding to the circuit, but I knew what I wanted and thought that is what I got. Otherwise it is a very good switch.

I have a closet with two sets of bifold doors. There are two PBNC (push button normally closed contacts) switches mounted on the side door James. They are wired in parallel so that either door opening would close a set of switch contacts and turn on a closet light. The old left switch failed which caused the light to stay on when the left doors were closed. I bought this switch to save some money by not buying a new full push button installation kit that included a new electrical box. The old switch installation looked exactly like the full kit. When I removed the cover plate I discovered that there was no electrical box. There was just a hole that the plate covered. The old switch was mounted in the plate. I turned off the power and cut the wires as close as I could to the old switch. Of course the hole was not big enough for the new switch. I had to chisel out more wood to allow the new switch to fit in the jamb. Lucky for me I got to use the old wires on the new switch. (No wire nuts were required.) I put the new switch that I mounted in the old cover plate into the enlarged hole and fastened it back to the wall. Put the doors back into the track and tightened them back in the same spot that they had been mounted. Tried closing both sets of doors and the light stays off now. It took me some time to do the repair. (Only because Rube Goldburg must have done the original installation. )
