Customer Review:Strattec Sec 7023584 5/8 Bolt Rcvr Lock-Toyota

Purchased this bolt GM/Chevy center cut key version. Installed it according to instructions. Key turned all the way to the right to set key. Once key was pulled out, it will not work. Brand new pin stuck on my truck hitch, which I guess is doing its job, but when I get ready to remove my hitch, this pin will have to be cut off. Thought with the previous reviews it would be a good purchase, but turned out being a total loss.

Love the idea to minimize keys, but this lock caused me to beak off my key. Inserted the key and twisted it back and forth per instructions. Key got stuck. Had to use channel locks to try and get the key unstuck. Key eventually twisted and broke off. Had to have a new key made at a locksmith.

Ok, I had another one of these so I already loved the product. I lost it. So I bought another. Very strong well made and easy to use. I already have a key so why add another to the key ring. Make sure you buy the one for your type of key and follow the simple directions. Now I have bought a third one for another tow vehicle.

This is a great idea. I cannot unlock my hitch pin with my truck key which is so much easier to get to than looking for another key. The lock was very easy to set up with my truck key. I highly recommend this product. Very well made. Worth the price....
