Mission: Perseverance theatre's mission is to create professional theatre by and for alaskans. We value community engagement, cross-cultural collaboration, professional rigor, and regional voice.

Programs: The organization produced a six play season in anchorage and a seven play season in juneau, with five of the plays transferring between cities. An annual holiday project (a christmas carol) was the sixth play in anchorage, and a special holiday offering (this wonderful life) was the seventh play in juneau. Education programs were offered in juneau and anchorage, with juneau programs including star, a summer youth camp with three productions, young company, and after school program, and spring break camp, a week long program in march. Spring break camp was also offered in anchorage. Three graduate level interns were hosted for season long internships in artistic, arts management, and production, and one summer long intern in education. Perseverance has 6 playwrights under commission, five of them alaskan, and five of them alaska native or native american. Perseverance hosts two full time, salaried resident artists, one playwright and one actor.
