I used safety pins to secure the visor to a Lycra helmet cover and it works perfectly for a horse riding helmet with small front visor. It stayed on during a breezy ride and provided lots of coverage. I do not think it would work with a riding helmet if it was not attached to a Lycra cover

Quality seems ok. I saw someone else say it worked for bike helmets but it doesn’t work on my bell helmet. It falls down as hole is way too big. The outside diameter of the hat is as big as a toilet seat. It’s huge. If you don’t mind looking like a flying saucer and can figure out how to keep it in place you’re good to go. Im going back to wearing thin sun hat under helmet.

It does shade me nicely, but it doesnt anchor to the bike helmet well. I put some velcro on, but that velcro doesnt stick to this item well. I have to bike with my head pointed down :(
