I am a mechanic at a fleet shop and we have 300 e-350 and e-450 vehicles that have a lot of leaking steering boxes. I keep it lubricated with grease on the threads and the contact point and I have replaced at least 15 of them since buying this tool. I am IN LOVE with this one as it works FANTASTIC!! If you need this tool this is the one! I highly recommend using only hand tools, I do and the pitman goes POP and falls off every time.

removed a pitman arm on a m35a2 34;deuce34; in about 30 seconds, after 3days of beating prying, heating and shocking with ice, wish i found it sooner!

Well what can I say about this beautifully crafted hunk of steel. When you have a big ole' 1 ton truck (or even larger) you need big ole' tools. This thing worked perfect, be warned though for some silly reason its not metric. However you slpa this bad boy on the pitman arm with the appropriate impact socket and give it some with the impact wrench...pop...all good in the hood. I recommend soaking the nut and arm over night.

Looks sturdy. Tried to use to remove pitman arm on mercury grand marquis 2000- spend couple of hrs with different tricks, did not work until I cut the arm with angle grinder to release tension- after that it slide off. Anyway- not a tool problem- tool survived all my tries and still in one piece.
