Made of gorgeous Acacia hardwood, the board is functional and beautiful due to its rich, shimmering colors. It features grooves to contain juices, neoprene coated feet to minimize movement, and a stainless steel grommet for hanging on display when not in use. Unlike traditionally made boards, end grain construction is less dulling to cutlery because the wood grain direction accommodates cutting instead of resisting it. Wear and tear is minimized on both cutlery and on the board, giving more longevity to all your cutting tools.

Beautiful finished wood cutting board. Has a juice channel along the edge to contain any liquids. Thick and solid. My go to cutting board for my food prep. Best paired with a food grade mineral oil to preserve its finish and longevity.

A very durable and moisture resistant high quality acacia wood cutting board. I use it daily to cut meat, vegetables and homemade bread and it has withstood any wear and tear. I wash it with soap and warm water and will buff it with mineral oil when it looks dry. I believe this cutting board will last a life time and will look naturally beautiful on display.

Very well made. Exactly as pictured. The acacia wood is beautiful. Love the look of the wood grain. The juice channel is a nice feature in that it should contain the juices when cutting meats. Has a grommet, but not sure that I would ever hang it cause the cutting board is so heavy. Should last a very long time if you take care of it and oil it to keep the wood from drying out. Would make a great gift for the aspiring chef in your life.

In my experience, the best cutting/chopping boards are made like this one, from the end grain. This one, from Ironwood Gourmet, is very high quality and has all the features that are necessary for good all round use. It is heavy at around 5-1/2lbs/2.6kg and large enough for slicing a roast. There is a juice channel that helps prevent overflow onto a counter and a hanger hole so that it may be hung to dry. I carefully checked all the joints for any gaps or cracks and the board is flawless. It was well-oiled and was wrapped in a simple kraft paper that had absorbed some of the cutting board oil. The recessed metal grommet should help protect the wood when hanging the board on a metal hook. I have some woodworking experience and have made some plank and edge grain boards and in my opinion this is an excellent product. I am amazed at how low the price is - you can't even buy the materials for what they are asking for this product. In summary, if you need a cutting surface that can take a real pounding - then this is it. If cared for properly it will probably last a lifetime. I personally think it is very attractive and very good value. Definitely a 5 stars item.
