Mission: Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry dedicated to eliminating substandard housing and homelessness worldwide and to making adequate, affordable shelter a matter of conscience and action. Habitat invites people from all faiths and walks of life to work together in partnership, building houses with families in need.
Results: This year Habitat Oakland County is working to rehab more than a dozen homes for local families. Every dollar donated helps a family in need of decent shelter. We raise all of our funds locally and receive no funding from Habitat International. We are a volunteer-driven organization that depends on groups and individuals for support of our many projects. We encourage everyone interested in making a difference in our community to contact us about volunteer opportunities.
