Thyme is the leaf of a low-growing shrub in the mint family that has a subtle, dry aroma and a slightly minty flavor and often included in seasoning blends for poultry and stuffing and also commonly used in fish sauces, chowders and soups. Thyme leaves are often paired with tomatoes and also goes well with lamb, veal, eggs, custards and croquettes.

I like the scent and the taste of this brand of herbs. They are labeled on the tops which is a big thing for me because I have to keep my spices in small totes. Makes them very easy to locate. Herbs are medicinal in nature so I am picky what I feed my family.

The herb is very aromatic and adds a lot of flavor, and I like the look of little flakes of dried herb in my meat and vegetable stews. One star is withheld from this review: there are a lot of short pieces of thin stems, about long, that really mar the texture of the dishes.
