Scotch® Performance Green Masking Tape 233+ delivers consistently superior performance on moldings, plastic, glass, metal, rubber and paint. Balanced four-part construction features flexible backing that applies easily around vehicle curves and contours and the patented adhesive that sticks at a touch, stays put and removes without transfer for consistently outstanding paint lines. Built for Automotive Aftermarket Work Through and Through: Auto body professionals will recognize the familiar green color of our Scotch® Performance Green Masking Tape 233+. The distinctive green paper backing helps improve visibility for more accurate edge alignment and is highly conformable, it resists breaking even around complex contours of a vehicle, making for fast application and eliminating the need to apply additional tape. But the backing is only one part of our tape design, balanced specifically for superior performance in auto body paint repair and maintenance. The specially formulated adhesive bonds instantly, reducing rework on a variety of surfaces including EPDM. The adhesive resists water and chemicals, making it ideal for use with water or solvent based paint systems with no bleed-through, edge curl or lifting. A primer layer anchors the adhesive to the backing, virtually eliminating transfer to the vehicle surface. The tape removes clean without slivering, which can reduce labor costs. 3M's tape also resists temperatures up to 250 Degree Fahrenheit for up to 30 minutes, making it suitable for longer baking cycles. All of this is built into a very low-profile tape which won't leave high edges that require extra buffing or rework. Special Back size Treatment for Outstanding Results: 3M adds a release coating to the backing of Scotch® Performance Green Masking Tape 233+ that gives it superior control during unwinding.
