My old ceiling fan brush was completely worn out. I purchased a new brush but it did not come with a handle. I ordered this handle and couldn't believe the difference in lengths. Plus, the old handle was PVC and this one is metal, much more heavy duty and the brush did not come off. This one has a push in metal piece that pops back out when the brush is added. The piece them pops out and holds the fan brush nice and steady. I am now able to hold the brush with 2 hands while cleaning the fans because this pole is long enough. I could only reach the fans by holding the old brush with one hand and my arms and shoulders would get tired after cleaning all of them. I had purchased one of those loop type fan cleaners and the fan blade screws always caught on the loops and I had to get a ladder to pull the loop free. On top of that, the pole wasn't nearly as long as this pole so it was a one armed job. The pole for that loop cleaner is a screw on so did not work for the brush. It was a nice metal pole, but not as long as this pole. I cannot give this 5 stars because it didn't come with the brush. That is a separate orde, but combination of the two items is a reasonable price for the quality. I had my old fan brush for at least 20 years, maybe even more and the brushes were quite worn where the fan edges hit them. This pole will last a lifetime and will make it easy to replace just the brush. This will make my weekly fan blade cleaning so much easier and now my fan blades will be cleaner, helping them do a better job of moving air.

This is a great stick that I use for pest control . I expands and it reaches a good range. And I love how it fits most mop heads. The one thing I wish was that it was a bit lighter but overall it's great.
