Blocks HDMI CEC signals when there is an incompatibilityUse this adapter when you have problems with incompatibilities between IR remote controls; such problems tend to occur now and then in installations with HDMI splitters and -switches.
The adapter does not pass on the CEC signal further. In principle, you only need to use this adapter upstream of the incompatible devices. However, several adapters installed upstream of a number of devices can be used.

Recently, my Sony Bravia Oled TV was switching my home theatre to its internal speakers automatically. I tried everything, and it didn't work. This HDMI CEC Adapter did resolve the issue. It is absolutely awesome. My PS5, Xbox series, and Nintendo Switch Oled all connected, and I am not encountering any issues any more. The reason I gave 4 star is because it is not fully compatible with Apple 4K TV. I get only the surround sound. Nothing is coming out of the sound bar. Which is not a big deal because very often I watch movies after midnight, and I always use my airpods. Generally, I am very satisfied with this product.

My MiSTer completey broke the CEC on my TV when plugged in. Channels renamed themselves, my sound bar literally wouldn't work at all.. it was bedlam until I figured out the MiSTer was the cause. Sure I could unplug the thing every single time I was done using it or if I wanted the change the channel, but why?This plug solved literally all my problems and now I don't have to constantly be putting stress on HDMI ports. Maybe a little pricey, but I literally couldn't find anything else that advertised itself as an HDMI CEC stripper (no clue why this is so rare), so it was this or nothing. I guess regardless of the price it worked exactly as described. I'd absolutely buy another if I needed to.

If you need to block CEC, this did it but, you could take a cheap cable and delete pin 13, it would do the same thing.It's just very expensive for what it does.

Lindy HDMI CEC Less Adapter, Female to Male (41232) This little device solves Consumer Electronic Control issues I had with my cable box, Sony TV and Sonos sound bar. The cable TV box kept changing the TV out put from the sound bar to internal TV speakers. This solved the problem
