Product Description
Among our Azure family, this small, creamy white bean is an ever-popular addition to soups and stews-a distinction owed partly to its delicate flavor and smooth texture; it compliments many dishes without overpowering other flavors or drawing too much attention to itself, making it a great choice for "stretching" a meal to feed more people.
Our organic great northern beans make a great addition to casseroles and can even be used in cornbread. They're also fantastic in white chili and bean salads. High amounts of protein, dietary fiber, iron, magnesium, and folate make them a great vegetarian option as a source of nutrients that might otherwise be missed in a meat-free diet.
Product meets or exceeds USDA guidelines. While we use the most modern equipment and standards when cleaning, processing, and packing this product, the contents of this bag are a natural product grown in the earth. It is not always possible to remove all foreign material. Please sort and rinse thoroughly before cooking.

Add 2 cups beans to 10 cups hot water. Bring to boil for 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat, cover, and set aside for at least 1 hour (preferably 4+). Rinse and drain. For simple boiled beans, place the soaked, rinsed, and drained beans in a large saucepan with fresh hot water. Water should cover beans by about 1". Boil beans for 10 minutes, then set to low and simmer until tender, about 1-2 hours. Add seasonings such as garlic, onion, oregano, parsley or thyme while simmering.
