This isn't the best ratchet though it does perform adequately. I use this for installing or dismantling battery packs for solar work. It's very comforting to know that you will not perform a weld on your ratchet knowing it is fully insulated. Also use it for doing the occasional live panel work. Can recommend for the price as it is less expensive than untying else of equal quality.

The price feels steep, but it is an insulated ratcheting socket wrench.I'm constantly working on power systems and this has helped me move so much faster with changing batteries and working in tight spaces in metal boxes without accidentally shorting to the enclosure. Definitely worth the purchase. I plan on definitely getting another as my back-up.

The tool itself is great. Fits securely to the sockets (from wera, knipex and geodore). Sure it will break if you have the lever set wrong and crank like a madman in the wrong direction. Don't use it wrong. Would be 5 stars if not for the horrible contraption wera still insists on packaging these things with. Feels like you are going to break it just to get it off. At the least its made in czechia. Most of the european brands have started to outsource their insulated products to asia and cementex will run you close to 10x the cost. Shame they can't bring their prices down a bit, but until then, this is a quality tool made with standards in a place not rife with fraud.
