The fans seem to work fine... but the box itself... feels a little flimsy and not as strong... time will tell since i am using outdoors and texas heat will put to the test!

For anybody who wants to protect electrical components from severe weather or accidental splashes of water, I believe that this enclosure is a highly practical option that may be used. I conducted some research on a number of other possibilities before making the purchase, but in the end, I decided to go with this particular one since it met the requirements for being waterproof, it came with a fan and a thermostat, and it was described as having a robust mounting plate. Please find below a comprehensive account of my experience with the product and how it performed for me. At first sight, I was astonished by how substantial the materials felt when I got the enclosure. These materials were quite sturdy. In addition to having a comforting thickness, the ABS plastic featured a hinged lid that gave the impression of being well-constructed rather than fragile. A mounting plate that made it simple for me to connect my controllers and wire panels was included in the package along with all of the necessary accessories, such as the fan and the thermostat that was built in. I believe that the fan that is provided is a wonderful feature since it assists in maintaining enough ventilation on days when the weather is higher, so guaranteeing that the temperature inside does not increase to an excessive degree. Additionally, the thermostat provides an additional degree of confidence by permitting the fan to function just when it is required, therefore preventing the fan from making a continuous noise or draining energy.

My dad is an electrician and I gave this to him. I thought he could use it for some of his clients jobs. Seems like a nice electrical box. He plans to use it. It has fans on the inside as well to help. keep things cool I guess. I think a licensed electrician should be the one who installed this. Just to make sure that it is done properly.

Basically fine, but given a few surface cracks after a few months of service, I'm concerned about whether this is really UV resistant plastic.

I've used a couple of these boxes over the last year. They work well and protect the sensitive network hubs from the elements. Would have like to be able to purchase more mounts designed to work with the plastic backboard.

The box is handy and the attachment board in the back is great for putting components exactly where you want them without having to drill holes in the box. The box is rather thin material. It locks securely. I just hope it lasts.

I purchased this enclosure to store my helium miner outside. So far its been working great. I love the fans inside the enclosure so it keeps my raspberry pi cool while it keeps the device dry. We just had a week worth of rain and I went to check the enclosure, my miner is dry and the temps have been good. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another enclosure.

Review of: Akwscyby Outdoor Electrical Box, Waterproof Electrical Junction Box IP65 ABS Plastic Enclosure with Fan amp; Thermostat, Mounting Plate and Hinged Lid (15.7" H x 11" L x 5.9" W) I've been testing this outdoor electrical box out for the past week or two and have the following comments: Pros: -The box is fairly roomy inside and closes securely with a rubber gasket around the door to keep moisture out. The vents on the side are also designed to prevent rain or snow from getting inside by having them angled downward. -Includes cutouts on the bottom that can be knocked out to allow cables to enter inside -Has cloth filters covering the fan vent openings to reduce dust/dirt infiltration. Cons: -The latches are completely plastic and I have concerns about their durability and longevity. Metal latches would have been better. -They include these little fabric cloths that are supposed to be taped down over the vent openings at the bottom of the box to reduce dust/dirt from entering. But the cloths and adhesive are really odd and I doubt they will remain in place over time. Some better option for covering the vent inlets would have been preferred. -The fans don't really blow air outcry well, possibly because of the filter covers. I can feel as much air blowing back inside the case as I can coming out the outside -The back of the case (inside) is a grid plate intended to allow devices and components to be secured, but it cannot be removed from the box without removing the fans. Poor design for keeping flexibility of mounting to this grid plate. -The fan control system doesn't work correctly. I have tested it several times and after it turns on (at the correct set point temp), it never turns back off, even though the small LED light goes out once the temperature drops back down below the shut off set point temp. (I am an engineer by education/career and have worked with enough electrical and mechanical systems to feel confident that this is NOT operator error, but a legitimate bug in the system). At this point, I think I would either have to disable the cooling system entirely, or expect it to run all the time. Overall the case is decent but the cooling system is all but worthless. Overall, I am going with a 3-star rating as the price isn't bad for the case alone, but the cooling system isn't adding much value. Maybe I just got unlucky and ended up with a rare defective control unit.

I added permanent outdoor lights using WLED and a DigUno. I needed a box to mount the electronics inside and mount to my house. This works great. I like how there is a fan to help circulate air in the warmer months. I have had it installed for a month and no leaks or issues.
