Works great for airline travel as well as in my car. I always drive with it especially longer distances but even for short trips. Easily adjustable by just adding or removing air and can get quite small by squeezing out the air.

At first, this product worked well and provided great back support. It was not too aggressive like some other back supports. It also was firmer than other back supports due to it being inflatable. In fact, that makes the firmness adjustable, which is a nice feature. I owned two of those over something like three months, and each one developed a leak after some time. I can only guess that it has something to do with the glue being used to hold the two halves together. It seems like something manufacturing could and should fix. I would hope it would last at least a year.

At first I thought that this was going to be way to small to make a difference, but I was so glad that I was wrong. This is perfect - and alleviated almost all of my long-distance airplane ride discomfort. I also love how small it deflates and how easily it re-inflates when you want to use it. Easily done in-flight without a fuss or bothering other passengers. I plan to use this in the car as well - for the long road trips coming up. This is rated highly for a good reason! LOVE this little inflatable pad!

This brand of pillow is great - for the back of a chair, the back of a recumbent bike (what I use it for), a long car ride (use it for this too!). Maintains the air, sturdy, perfect.

I bought this item a few years ago for around $15. It's the best one I ever tired for use in my truck. The size, shape and the ability to adjust the pressure is what makes it work for me.

I have had a few of these McKenzie self-inflating lumbar pillows. I only use them when I fly, which is not very often. I loved the back support until the valve stopped functioning. I have given them several tries. I am not a large person, 5'7" and 125 libs, and treated the pillows with care. But no luck. While I am still grateful that these pillows exist it's too much to pay for a product with such a short life span. Also, I dislike having to put yet another defective product into a landfill.

I used this back support on plane flights and a bus ride. It is fantastic - easy to use and adjust as one gains altitude. It also quickly rolls up so it can be stowed when one gets off the ride. I plan to keep it in my car now for use in the passenger seat.

I love this product. Got a sciatica attack a month ago. I've tried all different cushions and rolls. I am a smaller guy and it is right for me (not sure re larger heavier people though--just don't know). I'm 5'1 and 130 lbs. I will probably get another one to just be in the car. I am planning to take on a trip with me soon. Very versatile, light weight, and not so extreme as the round ones. Easy to blow up though haven't tried deinflating yet--this sort of thing can be tricky to deflate. (Also like McKenzie's book--very helpful.)

I bought this for a trip out of the country. We were on planes, trains and busses. I am a nurse with low back issues. This helped my back and it could be deflated a bit and used as a pillow. Highly recommended!
