10/2018, bought the SPX3000 (2,030PSI, 1.76GPM) and the 25' extension hose (SPX-25H) for $182 total: used approx 2X/yr -but when used it was for extended runs cleaning decks/concrete and other misc stuff at my home and homes of a couple relatives. Not as fast as a gas PW, but got jobs done OK. I used a silicone tie to pin the trigger on, and controlled the PW with the on/off switch: this saved my hand that would cramp up squeezing the trigger on long runs -and based on my research cycling PW's on/off should be avoided. I ran water through the wand with no nozzle for a couple minutes to fully purge the lines before starting -this prevented cycling. Also, always used Briggs Pump Saver when stored for long periods. So, my PW was well maintained and got 7yrs out of it, or $27/yr. Electric is right for my use: light/small and easily moved/transported. New models with hose coils seem like a nice improvement -my SPX3000 was tippy with the extra 25' hose wrapped around it. BTW: Strongly recommend buying the 25' extra hose. If you don't, will wish you did. My SPX3000 died unexpectedly. Had used it 2 days prior. Fired up, worked fine a couple minutes, then flow stopped with the pump still on. Troubleshooting revealed flow wasn't getting thru the PW, so out of curiosity disassembled the pump. No catastrophic failure found: one pump stage had bound up which prevented water passing through. Did not plan to fix/reassemble -Sun Joe doesn't sell parts. Kind of OK with 7yrs out of it, based on low price and HD rents electric PW's for $48/day. Appears that the SPX3000 spec changed to a lower GPM: Mine was rated 2,030PSI, 1.76GPM, and now rated for 1.2GPM. My SPX3000 was OK -longer lifespan would have made me a fanboy. Don't need a PW until spring 2025. If a smoking SPX3000 deal is offered, then I may consider another. Otherwise, willing to pay for better durability/lifespan, so taking my time and looking at other electric PW's like the Stihl RE110 Plus.
