This is fantastic as you need a lot of this product to do the test. Nice large size i wish it was a smaller top.

You will use a lot of this stuff so having the option of a larger size is great.

Good for checking CYA does the job right.

Of the chemicals you use to test your pool water, this one is used by the half-ounce, not by the drop. So it makes sense to buy this big bottle -- if even just to refill the small bottles good for two tests. I need to monitor my CYA levels because the floater tablets add significant CYA as they dissolve. Will be using a couple of approaches to lower (and calculate) my CYA levels to get another year before having to fully drain and fill the 15,000 gallon. Particularly important because the price of water in my city is high.

Got this reagent as part of a Taylor kit, noticed how much I had to use and was glad to find this bottle available... It is a little pricey, but 16oz should last a while at the rate I need to test CYA. The cancer concerns from other posters seem a little reactionary to the label without doing any research. From what I have found on the reagent is basically Melamine which gets used in various products and can make its way into foods. Now when you mix it together with Cyanuric Acid (which you're doing in this test) it creates Melamine Cyanurate which is a little more concerning as the dosage required for a LD50 drops 50. However the levels in your pool water sample should be relatively low PPM. Even if it was 100 concentration the test sample isn't immediately lethal. It would take regular exposure at these levels or higher volumes to start becoming a concern. By exposure it looks like ingestion is the main concern. So refrain from drinking the solution and you should be ok. Regardless, you should be wearing gloves, mask, and eye protection when handling most pool chemicals. This chemical along with all the reagent testing is no different.
