I bought this particular one because of the Standard brand. However after installation I found that it does not work every time I turn the key. I do hear the click of the solenoid coil but it doesn't make good enough contact every time to rotate the starter. After a time or two of turning the key, it will start the engine. Kind of a nuisance.

If you are looking to replace your good old american made solenoid be aware that this has metric threads and nuts. Not a huge deal but for me I'm going to keep looking.
