I have had this boom clock over 20 plus years and it still works! My son took mine. I had to order another for me. Very WAKEFULNESS. Worth the money. It so powerful and hard and loud and it has the lamp outlet to plug in your boom clock. So you have the vibration the sound the light. GET UP RISE AND SHINE!

Second thoughts: I had assumed that a 120v clock uses the Edison 60hz AC as a time standard. But our two new clocks don't stay synced with each other. Compared to Internet or WWV standard time, my clock gains almost 2 seconds per day and my wife's loses about 1 second per day. So they must be using an internal clock just like all the battery operated clocks (that makes it possible to sell the same clock all over the world). So it is impossible to have both clocks sound the alarm at the same time. And I'll have to reset them both at least monthly to keep them within one minute of each other. That's a real PITA and I reduced my 5 rating to 3. This is really frustrating to me because our Wake Assure clocks had worked for decades before needing to be replaced and their model no longer has the light flasher which my wife requires without her hearing aids. Buyers should not make the same assumption I did and be prepared for the clock to drift and require periodic resetting. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Includes flasher for a connected 120v lamp unlike "updated" Wake Assure model. Only wish you could set the audible alarm to a lower frequency, A larger Alarm OFF button would be nice or being able to program the nice SNOOZE button to "0" so it would function the same as the Alarm OFF button. The clock display is OK but a little larger and brighter would be better. The TEST mode is a great added feature. I'd still give it FIVE stars because it is so much better than the competition.

I had been using this alarm clock for a long time and works very well. Just attach (plug in) the lamp into the alarm clock. It does work very well.

The controls for this are very unintuitive. You don't just press an alarm button like every other alarm clock. And you can never really tell if it's going to go off or not. It'll go off on your days off and not go off when you're supposed to get up for work.
