Great book!

Excellent for helping children catch up and for reinforcing grade level curriculum.

This book is challenging! I feel like it really reflects the types of problems that students are expected to do under the common core standards. I received this book as a gift a week ago, and have used it 3 times already with my class. In all 3 instances, my students really had to dig into their arsenals of problem solving skills and persist when their initial approaches weren't successful. The problems in this book have made my kids struggle, work together, use trial and error, look closely at a problem and really read into it to see what is being asked. I think this is a great resource for all of my students, but I can especially see the value in using this with my students who generally have an easier time with math and don't necessarily have to work that hard to solve the problems in our textbook. I can also see myself using this on the days when my math lesson is a review lesson or when the students catch on really quick and I have some extra time to work on building their math stamina using these problems.
