Mission: The Foundation's mission is three-fold: SUPPORT - To help patients and their families cope with scleroderma through mutual support programs, peer cousneling, physician referrals, and educational information. EDUCATION - To promote public awareness and education through patient and health professional seminars, literature, and publiciity campaigns. ESEARCH - To stimulate and support research to improve treatment and ulitmately find the cause of and cure for scleroderma.
Results: SFMC has launched an Awareness Campaign. A PSA has been developed. . . Now, funding has to be raised to facilitate airtime and circulation. Bring awareness can ultimately cut the slow diagnosis rate - due to a lack of familiarity with the disease.

Programs: Patient Edification Program; Patient, Physician, and Public Edification Program; How To Dance In The Rain (Annual Conference); Laughter For A CURE; Family Adventure Day (5/10K Run & 2 Mile walk)
