I started to notice some squeaking/rattling shortly after up-sizing my wheels and tires on my 2014 JKU. So based on other reviews with similar symptoms, I decided to purchase this. WOW what a difference in tight swing and substantial firm close! Also took the Jeep for a quick spin....NO MORE SQUEAKING!! Would definitely recommend this if you have bigger than factory wheels/tires!

Works great , Factory hinges were not strong enough for 35s and after some time the door began to squeak all the time from flexing under the weight and this upgraded hinge completely solved that , I only regret not doing it sooner

Installed on my 2015 Jeep JK Unlimited. OEM hinges were worn out and allowed my tailgate to rattle terribly. Factory original tire carrier with this hinge holds my 33' BFGs on 17 inch rims nicely.A little 'stiff' closing, but super smooth and will probably loosen up with use.Highly recommend. Easy to install, use wood wedges to support tailgate while removing old hinges and installing new, stayed perfectly aligned for me.

Take your time installing this and it will be an awesome upgrade to the stock carrier/hinge. I upgraded to after market wheels and 33 tires and was way over the Jeep recommended weight limit. This was the clear answer to my problem. Well made, heavy duty and didn't break the bank. Highly recommend! Its been on for a few months now and it rock solid.

This was a very quick install (less than an hour total)Had a HD tire holder for my 35 tires (on 17 rims). Would rattle/make rubbing sounds that were annoying.Should have replaced the hinges when I did the HD tire holder, anyway, after installing this the tailgate is very sturdy and no more rattling.
