Purchased a taper 1-1/4 - 7 tap. It worked as it should after drilling a new hole and tapping it. It was a good price and worked for one hole.

Appears to be high quality. Have not had a chance to use any of them. I broke my last tap while just using hand tools - didn't think I could do that. Ordered these as a replacement for the one I broke.

This thing is absolutely junk. Broke will using it for the first hole to tap almost hit me in the eye when it snapped.

I have to give this tool some credit. Initially I thought it wouldn't work at all I used it for rethreading my stripped bicycle pedals socket standard size. It worked without any issues at all and it didn't take that much rethreading maybe I just got lucky.

Worked great on some very tough stainless, but 0.005" - 0.007" over nominal size (0.250" or quarter inch). Didn't matter for my purposes, but it might make a difference for some, so be sure and measure when you get them. 4-flute so easy to measure.

I used this set to complete a job that needed 24 holes tapped. I used plenty of lube, and they held up great, and are still sharp. Just go slow and gentle, as they are small and easy to snap if you horse them.

Cleans the threads well until it snaps. On the fourth hole I bottomed out the BOTTOMING TAP and it snapped in half.
