I didn't expect much from a tap this inexpensive. I try not to buy cheap tools but, I needed something quickly and for a non-critical task so, I thought I'd give this guy a shot. It cut through cast iron so smoothly I had to back it out to make sure it was even cutting. It was and very cleanly so. I didn't need it to cut very deep less than 1/4 inch but I did use it for 8 through holes with no signs of it dulling. I've no proplem plopping this tap in the box with my collection of OSGs. I'm not saying it's likely the same quality BUT it did what I needed it to do for a great price.

Small taps, but cut well in brass. clear often to avoid breakage.

This Tap broke on the first use. Repairing threads on a riding mower. Used ample lubrication. Snapped almost immediately. Absolute JUNK!

I had an antique made of cast iron and had several crusted shut or heavily rusted bolt holes. I bought this tap in the 1/2-12 size. It opened, chased and rethreaded all the holes without skipping a beat. I locked the tap in a pair of Vise Grip pliers and turned slowly. It cut right through the rust first pass and brought those 80 year old bolt holes back to life. I was really impressed with the quality of the tap for the price.

Needed a bottoming tap for a hole that needed to be fairly shallow. After running the regular tap in and out, I followed up with this one and all was perfect. Arrived quickly and works great. May not need again for a while but I know its there when I do.

Appears well made, recommend you don't use an impact drill even on lowest setting... yep snapped mine off in the threads. On me for trying to go too fast.

Used this tool to clean out threads for rock rails on a Toyota Tacoma. Sprayed a little WD 40 on threads and screwed it in. It worked flawlessly. Now all of the bolts fit as they should.
