The 1/8-27 NPT die I received may work fine for threading the lap pipe I need it for, but the outside diameter (OD) of the die itself is 3/4". There are a ton of great die stock handle wrenches (and a few different names for them), but almost all the smallest ones are for 1" OD dies. I have a couple small sets from Dewalt via Home Depot that use a 5/8" hex, and there are a LOT of handles for round dies, that might work, but it really does not seem logical to take a 6 sided object and apply 3 or 4 pointed screws to 3 or 4 sides of that object and then wrench on it with a bunch of torque. That's why round dies have holes in them. Still hunting. If anyone knows where to get the right die size, please review it here.

It was great for cleaning up thread's. I had a gas nipple coming out of the cement that needed more thread's. Was able the get it started and get a wrenchTo slowly turn it.

iam using this to thread aluminum not to rethread be , so it's good die for that but its 2 1/2' across so i couldn't find a die handle that size. i'll probably make one out of an old wrench and weld handles on it
